Field Trip ~ ~Railway Museum

I know that I said we won't get off the bus, but since there were fence and there was no chance for kids to get close to the edge I decided to let kids get off and have our morning snack at the Fisherman Harbor.  Kids saw different kinds of sheep.  They were all very excited.  Some of them even asked if they can get on the board of the big sheet ; ) 

The trains that we took photo with are the first 2 train in Taiwan.  And the Railway Museum was the first train station in Taiwan as well.  Kids really wanted to get on the bus, but we were not able to do so. 

Field Trip on Friday, January 24

Dear Parents,

Since Pre-K is doing our theme 5, transportation, I plan to have a field trip to Kaohsiung Railway Museum which is next to the exit of Siziwan MRT station by school bus next Friday.  There kids will be able to see some old trains and try on the uniform as a train operator.

After the visiting the Museum, we will go past Kaohsiung Harbor.  Considering the safety reason, we will not get off the bus.  Instead, kids will sit on the bus to see the ships at the harbor.

The trip will take place on Friday, January 24th, we will leave at around 8:40 am, and will be back for school lunch at 11.00 am. I will need your permission to take your kid to the trip.

Please indicate if you would like for your child to participate.  The trip will take place when more than 5 kids are going.  We may cancel the trip in the case of rain.

I will send a copy home today.  Please check.
